Driver CPC Training

What is Driver CPC?

The Driver CPC was introduced in 2008 for bus and coach drivers and in 2009 for LGV drivers, the most important thing to know is that professional bus, coach, and lorry drivers are now required to hold a Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) licence in addition to a vocational driving licence. So whether you’re coming into the industry new, are an existing driver or are responsible for a fleet of drivers, it is imperative that you are aware of how to comply with Driver CPC legislation and the correct licensing of drivers.  To read more about Driver CPC click here.

Who can book our training?

Anyone that requires or has drivers that require a driver qualification card in order to carry out their work can book our DCPC courses.  Our courses can be booked by either individuals or by companies who perhaps have 1 or several individuals in need of training.  We offer both scheduled open courses as well as tailored courses for organisations that can be arranged at your convenience.

Prices and Fees
  • For businesses it will be £55 a head for the first 9 candidates, so for 9 candidates it would be £450.  (Please contact us to book)
  • For businesses 10 drivers will be a daily rate of £500. (Please contact us to book)
  • For businesses more than 10 candidates will be charged at an extra £10 a head to cover upload fees, for a full class of 20 candidates this would be £600 daily rate.

All our prices include upload fees and certificates upon completion of the course, and should the client not be supplying food this also includes refreshments and lunch, also prepared, and distributed under COVID guidelines.

Please note: We will want to be made aware of any special requirements such as access and dietary needs at least 3 days before the start of the course.  No name changes or additional names will be made in the last 3 days prior to the course starting.  All courses will be paid for when booking with Insight driver training Ltd.

Where will the training take place?

DCPC courses, if classroom based will take place at one of our venues or at your location, we have venues all over the area that we cover so you can be sure that we will have a venue within reasonable distance to you and your business. Should you require us to travel a little further we can source a location near your business if the course cannot be held at your location and minimum number will be required.

Virtual Courses & Classroom Options

We offer both virtual/online and classroom options for our courses, virtual courses can be taken from the comfort of your own home or from your place of work, both these types of courses are advertised on our website under the “upcoming courses” page. For virtual courses we require that candidates be present for the duration of the course, if you experience technical issues, you must inform us as soon as possible as unauthorised absences from courses will result in non-attendance, therefore you will not get the days training added to your periodic training record, should this be the case, no refunds will be made.
